The MD3000i can be used to consolidate up to 16 PowerEdge servers, and hold 15 3.5-inch SAS or SATA disk drives in a single 3U rack enclosure. Dual Ethernet ports, redundant hardware, and proactive notification can deliver the availability required of business critical applications like Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server. The versatility of the PowerVault MD3000i enables you to configure the specific combination of storage resources you need now, and add more storage volume later. The PowerVault MD3000i direct attached storage array offers optional backup and data protection features: snapshot and virtual disk copy (VDC).
